Dog home boarding in Crumpsall, Middleton, Blackley and the surrounding areas – the perfect alternative to kennels.
We love dogs and understand as dog owners ourselves, that leaving home for business or pleasure can be an anxious time for both you and your four legged furry friends. In our experience, kennels can be a frightening place for dogs and dog owners and often people leave with little reassurance that their loyal friend will be shown the same love and attention they are shown at home.
The Dog Home boarding service from Digs for Dogs is the perfect alternative to kennels. We match you and your dog with a host family you can trust, so you can be confident that your pooch is cared for and happy whenever you’re away.

At Digs for Dogs our most important job is to ensure that dog owners can go away on holiday and relax, safe in the knowledge that their best friend is being loved and cared for. We have a passion for dogs of all shapes and sizes and we really don’t mind if they regularly sleep in the bedroom or hide your favourite shoes, climb on the furniture or get excited on walks and pull on the lead.
Our network of carefully selected host home boarding families will ensure that your dog has a great holiday whilst you’re away!
We’ve chosen all of our host families based on their devotion and love of dogs. Our home boarders offer a one to one service for your pet and they are always at home during the day.
You can rest assured that your dog will enjoy a happy holiday stay with their usual home comforts, including lots of love, care and attention. Some of our host families have their own dogs and others have previously owned animals but now chose to provide a dog home boarding service rather than having a dog of their own on a full time basis.
Home boarding for dogs is the perfect option for dog owners that want to ensure their pets are being looked after by a loving family whilst they are away from home and unable to do so themselves.
To match you with the right home boarding family in Crumpsall, Middleton, Blackley and the surrounding areas, we’ll meet with you and your dog at your own home, at your convenience, so we can discuss several things in relation to your dog. This will include daily routines such as exercise, sleeping and feeding and we’ll also address any quirky behavioural traits he or she might have.
Your input into this process is vital and allows us to make the right match with one of our loving dog home boarding families in the Crumpsall, Middleton and Blackley areas. We appreciate that you will want to know where your dog will be staying whilst you are away and we take time to show you all of our dog-loving families in your local area.
If you have a puppy or an elderly dog, or a dog who has to take regular medication you can be confident that their needs will be met. Our home boarders provide round the clock care and attention and are always at home during the day. The Digs for Dogs team are in regular touch with our host families when they are looking after your most loyal and trusted friend and we’ll keep you updated during your time away if there’s anything you need to know.
Host families are just like us, and they’re guaranteed to meet our extremely high pet sitting standards. It’s your decision as to who your dog eventually stays with and depending on his or her needs, whether they reside with a family that already has a dog or one that doesn’t. We want you, and your best friend, to be completely happy.
Meet Sue Kent our Home Boarding for Dogs Franchisee in Crumpsall, Middleton, Blackley and the surrounding areas.
Hi my name is Sue and I have spent the last 28 years in the automotive industry working for global brands like Ford Motor Company, Jaguar, Land Rover and latterly MG Motor. I have been lucky enough to travel the world with my job but recently decided it was time for a complete change of career and lifestyle. I was initially introduced to Digs for Dogs as a customer, and seeing the love and care they put into looking after Sam, my Cocker Spaniel I knew it was a company I would like to be a part of. So when the opportunity came along, I took it.
I know first-hand how important your four legged friends are to your family. I got Sam our mad Cocker Spaniel nearly 11 years ago as my son was scared of dogs and I wanted him to benefit from the unconditional love and great fun that comes with dog ownership. It was the best thing I could have done as not only did it cure his fear they became best friends.
I want to assure you that I will be providing the best care possible for your dog/s and ensuring they have a safe, enjoyable stay with Digs for Dogs.
I provide a home boarding for dogs service in the Manchester and surrounding areas including Miles Platting, Ancoats, Droylsden, Openshaw, Failsworth, Moston, Crumpsall, Middleton, Blackley, Cheetham Hill and Higher Broughton. If you want your dog to be loved and cared for whilst you are away then please call me on 07753 674681, email email@example.com or fill in the form at the top of this page and I’ll call you back.
Try a Sleepover
We can offer you an introductory sleepover for your dog if you’re booking a holiday and would like to try our home boarding service first. Having the peace of mind that your dog has settled will enable you to enjoy your holiday whilst your best friend enjoys their holiday too. Please ask for further information on this when you register your dog.
Door to Door Service
We will arrange to collect your dog on the date of your departure and transport them to their home boarding family in an air conditioned, dog friendly, fully insured vehicle. From experience we have found that your dog will settle so much more with their home boarder if we collect them rather than they would if you were dropping them off.
Pack a Suitcase
You will need to pack a suitcase with all of their usual belongings – bedding, bowls, lead, treats toys, – and you will also need to provide sufficient food for the duration of their stay. Your dog will also need to be up-to-date with their vaccinations, flea and worming treatments.
Keep in touch
We will keep in regular contact with the home boarder during your dogs’ stay and we will be on hand in case of any emergencies. We can also send you a text or email update with pictures to let you know how your dog is settling in with their home boarding family.
