Dog home boarding in Miles Platting, Ancoats and the surrounding areas – the perfect alternative to kennels.
Are you going on holiday or away on business and concerned about who you can trust to care for your four-legged best friend? Home dog boarding with Digs for Dogs is the perfect solutions rather than to having to leave your dog in kennels. We will provide a happy holiday home for your pooch with a loving Home Boarding family, whenever you can’t be there.
We understand that it can be an anxious and upsetting time when you leave your dog to go away. Kennels don’t always provide a home from home experience or the peace of mind that your dog is being cared for, to your standards, in a loving and friendly environment.

At Digs for Dogs our main purpose is to ensure that dog owners can go away on holiday, relax and unwind, safe in the knowledge that their best friend is happy, contented and being loved and taken care of.
Our families have been carefully selected because of their love and devotion of dogs. Some have previously owned dogs in the past but now prefer to provide a regular dog home boarding service and some are dog owners themselves.
We have an incredible network of very special home boarders who ensure that every dog boarding with a Digs for Dogs home boarding family will get a happy holiday home of their own whilst their owners are away. We love dogs of all shapes and sizes and we don’t mind if they pull on the lead, sleep in the bedroom, go on the furniture or even hide your favourite shoes!
Our home boarders are at home during the day, offering a one on one service to your loyal friend. Your dog will have an enjoyable stay with the home comforts they’re used to, including lots of love, fuss and attention.
Making the right match with one of our dog home boarding families in Miles Platting, Ancoats and the surrounding areas, is crucial and your input into this process is as important to us as it is to you. You will want to see where your dog is going to stay whilst you are away, so during our time together you will be made aware of all our dog-loving families in your area.
We will initially book an appointment to visit you in your own home and take a thorough profile of your dog or dogs including any behaviour quirks, sleeping, exercise and feeding routines.
Our home boarding families are just like you and me. You can rest assured that they exceed our extremely high pet sitting standards. You can choose whether your best friend will stay with a family that already has a resident dog, depending on his needs.
Our home boarders are at home during the day to make sure that around the clock care is always provided, especially where puppies, dogs on regular medication and elderly dogs are concerned. We are in touch with our families on a regular basis, so we will always keep you updated during your time away about anything you may want or need to know.
Home boarding for dogs gives dog owners the reassurance that their dog is having their requirements met whilst they are not available to do so themselves.
Meet Sue Kent our Home Boarding for Dogs Franchisee in Miles Platting, Ancoats and surrounding areas
Hi my name is Sue and I have spent the last 28 years in the automotive industry working for global brands like Ford Motor Company, Jaguar, Land Rover and latterly MG Motor. I have been lucky enough to travel the world with my job but recently decided it was time for a complete change of career and lifestyle. I was initially introduced to Digs for Dogs as a customer, and seeing the love and care they put into looking after Sam, my Cocker Spaniel I knew it was a company I would like to be a part of. So when the opportunity came along, I took it.
I know first-hand how important your four legged friends are to your family. I got Sam our mad Cocker Spaniel nearly 11 years ago as my son was scared of dogs and I wanted him to benefit from the unconditional love and great fun that comes with dog ownership. It was the best thing I could have done as not only did it cure his fear they became best friends.
I want to assure you that I will be providing the best care possible for your dog/s and ensuring they have a safe, enjoyable stay with Digs for Dogs.
I provide a home boarding for dogs service in the Manchester and surrounding areas including Miles Platting, Ancoats, Droylsden, Openshaw, Failsworth, Moston, Crumpsall, Middleton, Blackley, Cheetham Hill and Higher Broughton. If you want your dog to be loved and cared for whilst you are away then please call me on 07753 674681, email email@example.com or fill in the form at the top of this page and I’ll call you back.
Try a Sleepover
We can offer you an introductory sleepover for your dog if you’re booking a holiday and would like to try our home boarding service first. Having the peace of mind that your dog has settled will enable you to enjoy your holiday whilst your best friend enjoys their holiday too. Please ask for further information on this when you register your dog.
Door to Door Service
We will arrange to collect your dog on the date of your departure and transport them to their home boarding family in an air conditioned, dog friendly, fully insured vehicle. From experience we have found that your dog will settle so much more with their home boarder if we collect them rather than they would if you were dropping them off.
Pack a Suitcase
You will need to pack a suitcase with all of their usual belongings – bedding, bowls, lead, treats toys, – and you will also need to provide sufficient food for the duration of their stay. Your dog will also need to be up-to-date with their vaccinations, flea and worming treatments.
Keep in touch
We will keep in regular contact with the home boarder during your dogs’ stay and we will be on hand in case of any emergencies. We can also send you a text or email update with pictures to let you know how your dog is settling in with their home boarding family.
